S C H O O L R U L E S

001. Classes start at 9am every morning. If you are ill you must ring the duty manager (number can be found in your welcome pack) by 8.30pm. If you are late you will receive a lunchtime detention. If you skip a class for no valid reason then you will receive a written warning and an after class detention.

002. Although there is no uniform at Elk Creek there are some items of clothing that are unacceptable for class: Nightwear, Short Shorts, Short Skirts, Excessive jewelry (one necklace, one bracelet etc), Piercings (one small stud in each lobe is allowed), Visible Tattoos, Clothes with violent or pornographic imagery, Excessive make-up. Shorts and skirts MUST be below the knee. If any of these rules are broken you will receive a written warning and will be asked to go and change.

003. Homework may be given and must be completed on time. If you fail to do so three times you will receive a lunchtime detention.

004. No mobile phones or other electronic equipment to be taken to class. It must be left in your dormitory.

005. Dormitories will be inspected once a week. If your room is deemed unclean you will have one day to fix it or you will have to pay for a cleaning service to tidy your room.

006. All students must be in bed by 11 PM on the dot every week night. On weekends, students are able to stay up as long as they'd like, but are never allowed to leave their dorms past 10 unless absolutely needed.

007. No boys allowed in the girls dormitories, and vice versa.

008. You must respect the staff at Elk Creek.

009. Parents visiting is not allowed. But a call will be allowed once a week. You must book a slot with reception. Calling home is the ONLY excuse to walk out of class.

010. To use the sports hall or auditorium out of hours you must book a slot with reception or ring the duty manager.

001. The surrounding area is for your delight but you are not allowed to stay out after 9pm. Nor should you leave your building until 7am.

002. If you have a free period then you may go outside, but please inform a member of security.

003. Do not play near the fences, they are electric and could give you an injury. Also do not play near the security booth.

004. In the event of a truck entering the school, please re-enter the school by the nearest door and wait for further instructions.

005. In the event of a fire, please exit the building and make your way to the red sign near the lake.

006. Do not swim in the lake.

007. Do not set fires in the forest.

008. Smoking of any kind is prohibited, as is alcohol.

001. The security team are here for your protection. Do not distract them while they are working. Any misuse of security time will result in detention and a written warning.

002. CCTV cameras are in operation around the school and you will be filmed around the clock.

003. Armed guards patrol the border twenty-four-seven. Do not talk to them.

004. Security can be called using the duty mobile number in an emergency only.
